Football season is back and fans in Motor City and across Michigan are ready for game day. If you are not going to the game at Ford Field, you can try one of these awesome Detroit-themed cocktails. If you’re watching or listening from home, find these spirits at a store near you and craft one of these game-day cocktails!

Bee’s Kneecaps

A Bee’s Knees cocktail with a Honolulu Blue twist. 

2 oz Gin

1 oz Blue Curacao

.75 oz lemon juice

.5 oz honey

Lemon twist, garnish

Add gin, blue curacao, lemon juice, and honey into a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe. Garnish with a lemon twist. 

Lion’s Tail

A cocktail to pair with your very best roar. 

2 oz Straight Bourbon

.5 oz allspice dram

.5 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed

1 teaspoon simple syrup

2 dashes Angostura bitters

1 oz Straight Bourbon Whiskey

1.5 oz hazelnut liqueur 

1.5 teaspoons real maple syrup

4 oz hot, strong coffee
